Sea freight loading Turbines with 119 t unit weight each
Logistics specialists challenged with oversized and heavy cargo: O.T.S. ASTRACON Bremen transports even particularly heavy loads with ease.
Hamburg – Taiwan
At the end of September and the beginning of November 2016, our sea freight specialists in Bremen transferred a complete turbine unit weighing 119 t each by project shipment. The turbine units were loaded onto a container ship via the port of Hamburg and shipped to their destination in Taiwan.
Non-container based sea freight
Instead of the usual standard containers: Due to the very high individual weights, the heavy and bulky cargo had to be loaded onto the container ship in each case using a floating crane. Thanks to individual planning and organization in advance, the non-containerized cargo was optimally handled by O.T.S. ASTRACON and delivered damage-free.
